As the first size Small Zodiac to leave the shop, I was pretty excited to see this one be built up and go out. The reality of a size Small is that it’s not even really that small. It’s still set up for the Zodiac spec of 140/150mm travel, and 29er wheels so it’s quite the sled even though it will fit a smaller rider.
Paul picked the always stunning Illusion Malbec for his build, and it came out awesome. As usual, photos just don’t do the Illusion powder coats justice, but if you see Paul out on his Zodiac you’ll see what I mean. This is the color on the bike I’ve been riding for the past year, and people often refer to it as purple when recalling it from memory. It’s unmistakably red, but there are definite purple undertones that come through more in memory than when looking at it, it’s crazy.
